Regeneration projects in Halton
Runcorn Old Town's Reconnecting Runcorn programme is delivering eight projects under its Town Deal, including new homes at Mercia Place and the restored Brindley arts centre. At Halton Lea, The Riverside Group is redeveloping the Palace Fields local centre and The Uplands estate into new affordable and extra-care homes. Widnes town centre has an adopted regeneration framework aimed at rebalancing its high street, and outline consent has been granted for a large mixed-use scheme at Heath Park in Runcorn.
Construction and housing funding in Halton
Runcorn Old Town's Reconnecting Runcorn programme is funded through a Town Deal, separate from Runcorn Town's own Pride in Place allocation, which covers the same part of the town under a different programme.
