South Yorkshire's combined authority sets the region's regeneration priorities through an integrated settlement that began in the 2026/27 financial year. Homes England's Strategic Affordable Housing Programme, running from 2026 to 2036, is assessed against the combined authority's own priorities for tenure mix and support, and its Growth Hub team is the named route for housing and infrastructure enquiries that need extra support.
Alongside that regional programme, each borough runs its own local calls. Pride in Place funding backs named neighbourhoods with their own boards and deadlines, and a separate annual Impact Fund supports smaller high street and community projects. The two sit apart from the regional settlement and from each other.

- Sheffield Sheffield's edition tracks the Furnace Hill and Neepsend Catalyst Sites, appointed to Capital & Centric and Igloo Regeneration, and the Batemoor, Jordanthorpe and Parson Cross Pride in Place neighbourhoods.
- Rotherham Rotherham's edition covers the newly approved Bassingthorpe Farm garden community and the Rotherham Gateway masterplan around the proposed mainline station, plus 120 affordable homes under way at Midland Road, Eastwood.
- Doncaster Doncaster's edition follows the Unity development, planned for more than 3,000 homes, and the borough's four Pride in Place neighbourhoods, including Conisbrough North and Mexborough West.
- Barnsley Barnsley's edition sets out the Mapplewell and Carlton housing sites, 454 homes with Vistry, and the Barnsley Town Board, the borough's phase 1 Pride in Place programme covering the town centre and Dearne Valley Park.
